The Hamilton County Park District is hosting a juried art show at Glenwood Gardens in June, 2009. Artists are invited to complete an application to participate in this show. Applications are due no later than February 6, 2009. Download the application and instructions here.

 

Harper Art Show
Fabulous Frames & Art joins Nature’s Niche Stores in presenting the art of the celebrated Harper Family. A wide assortment of uniquely framed and unframed prints will be available to purchase in Ellenwood Nature Barn at Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve. Bluebird

Nature’s Niche will have the new brass adornment and ornament with Charley Harper’s “Cardinals Consorting.” This is the 15th brass adornment and the 18th glass ornament featuring Charley’s art that the Park District has developed.

Charley Harper: An Illustrated Life by Charley Harper and Todd Oldham, will be another item to put on your Harper collector’s list. The popularity of the Harper designs are found in other items such as note cards, shirts, totes, mugs, watches, jewelry and a DVD, as well as the Beguiled by the Wild and My Nose Is Running books. Recently released books include Birds & Words and Charley Harper’s ABCs. Show hours are Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, November 12, 15 and 16, 1 to 5 p.m. and Thursday and Friday, November 13 and 14, 1 to 7 p.m.
