History: A segment of this park was donated by the Seasongood Family, whose patriarch was a former mayor of Cincinnati who spearheaded the creation of the Hamilton County Park District. Woodland Mound is 1,004 acres.

Features

  • 18-hole Frisbee golf course, Parcours Trail, nature trails, picnic areas, playgrounds and play fields.
  • A new wet playground, "Parky’s Wetland Adventure," debuted in the summer of 2001.
  • Steamboat Bend Campground and a boat launching ramp on the Ohio River.
  • The Vineyard, one of the area’s finest 18-hole golf courses.
  • Sweetwine Lodge for golf outings, wedding receptions and meetings.
  • Seasongood Nature Center with interactive displays, two outdoor observation decks, a classroom and an auditorium for Naturalist programs.
  • The Nolan W. Carson Butterfly Garden, dedicated in 1999 to Mr. Carson who served on the Board of Park Commissioners for the Hamilton County Park District for 17 years.
