Meadow Links & Golf Academy - Lesson of the Month February 2007 Lesson The Moment of Truth One plane or two plane? Swing and release the hands or turn and rotate the body? Golf can definitely be a game of what I call, ‘information overload’! In some circles of instruction, we like to refer to ‘The Moment of Truth’, also known as our position at impact. One thing all tour players do well, despite their swing methodology, they get into a powerful impact position.
As the season approaches, one thing you might want to pay attention to, is the simple awareness of finishing all your swings facing the target with your back foot pointing toe down. If you can’t accomplish that with your full swing, shorten and slow your swing down until you can do it. Keep your thoughts simple as you head into the upcoming season! If you have any questions or comments, please direct them to mikedeiters@pga.com. |
