George
Long -
George Long is a veteran of over 28 years as a PGA Professional. During this time, George has taught and coached all
levels and ages of players. George is adept at teaching private lessons, group skill classes, and clinics. As a
teacher and coach over the last quarter century, he has taught in local high schools, directed the early years of our
In-Reach Golf Academy, developed summer golf camps and serves on the President's Council for Play Golf America.
George believes that golf should, above all, be fun and a source of recreation and leisure. Consequently, he stresses
matching his teaching methodology with the desires, goals and physical abilities of the student. After the initial
consultation and discussion with the student, a coaching plan is jointly developed. This plan can be as simple as a
one lesson tune-up or as involved as a complete swing change. Students are encouraged to be active learners, ask
questions, and to challenge the instructor. Active dialogue leads to active learning and quicker skill development.
