Student Volunteers

Volunteering as a student at the Hamilton County Park District not only supports the staff but also gives students a chance to learn about Parks, Recreation and Environmental careers. Our student program is in session June through August every summer. We begin taking requests for summer applications March 1. A limited number of applications are available and the application process takes approximately 4 weeks. Please review the questions below before submitting an application.

• Will you be at least 14 years of age by June 1 of the current year and have completed the 8th grade?
• Are you able to volunteer the entire summer not missing more than two scheduled days?
• Are you able to attend a mandatory orientation?
• Are you willing to fulfill these additional student requirements?
  1. Submit a letter explaining why you want to volunteer?
  2. Submit two letters of recommendation (not from a family member).
  3. Pay the initial $10 new volunteer fee.
  4. Complete necessary parental permission forms.
