  • Highfield Discovery Garden

    Ongoing: The swinging bridge at Highfield Discovery Garden is closed through Summer 2024.

  • Steamboat Bend

    Ongoing: Due to river levels, the Steamboat Bend Boat Ramp and Marina will remain closed until the water level returns to normal.

  • Lunken Trail

    Ongoing: The north side of the Lunken trail closest to Reeves Golf Course is closed due to flooding. 

  • Otto Armleder Connector Trail

    Ongoing: The Otto Armleder Memorial Connector Trail is closed due to flooding.

  • Sharon Woods

    Ongoing: Due to construction of the Sharon Lake draining and dredging project, park facilities will close beginning April 1, 2024:

    • Sharon Lake, including the fishing dock and canoe/kayak launch
    • Boathouse
    • Shared-Use Trail around the lake – see map of Alternative Trail
    • Lakeside Lodge reservable shelter and adjacent parking lot on Kemper Road

    Starting 5/13: Buckeye Falls Drive from Highbanks Drive to the Sharon Woods Golf Course parking lot will be closed to vehicular access due to construction May 13 through June 14, weather permitting. Golfers should use Swing Road. 

  • Embshoff Woods


    Ongoing: The Restrooms at Embshoff Woods are currently closed due to water issues in the park while troubleshooting occurs. We will update once the issue is resolved.

Snack Bars

  • Miami Whitewater Forest Snack Bar, Sharon Woods Snack Bar, and Winton Woods Snack Bar open for the season on May 27, 2023.

Trails: Open

  • The Armleder Trail Connection to Lunken is closed when the Ohio River level is at 38 feet or above. Otto Armleder Park & Recreation Complex closes when the river level is at 42 feet or above. See the National Weather Service for current and forecasted river levels.

Wet Playgrounds

  • Woodland Mound wet playground and Winton Woods wet playground open for the season on May 27, 2023
